Weighing agent conferences were held at the Astoria Hotel in St. Petersburg on Nov. 30, 2004 and at the Mariott Grand Hotel in Moscow on Dec. 3, 2004 by A&D CIS, our global partner in Russia. More than 100 people in total comprising dealers and customers joined the conferences. They were divided into two groups, and the two sessions were performed simultaneously.
At the conference, new moisture analyzer MS/ML, analytical semi-micro balances GH/HR-I, platform scale FG Series and digital compact scale HL-I Series were introduced. AD-1683, a new static eliminator was also introduced. As you may know, static electricity affects measurement result, especially if the balance has a higher resolution. AD-1683 can eliminate static electricity from charged objects without the need of an external high-voltage power source. Since it is compact and lightweight with no fan, it is very easy to handle. All you need to do to eliminate static electricity is to place the sample in front of the AD-1683 inside the specified area.
We demonstrated AD-1683 with our new analytical semi-micro balances. First, we measured a charged sample. The measurement result was affected by static electricity. Next, we put the charged sample in front of the AD-1683 and took a measurement. The measurement result was stable and was not affected by static electricity. At that time, one of participants accused us of cheating. So we asked him to try AD-1683 and he was satisfied with its effectiveness.
The new digital scale HL-I Series is nicknamed "NINJA" which stands for "New Innovative Novel Japanese Apparatus" The original ninja was a kind of warrior engaged in espionage activities. Also, it is a symbol of quickness, accuracy, cleverness and toughness. For more information, please click here.
