Count On It ! - A "Bright" Idea For Counting

Counting is one of the basic applications in our civilisation. If you go into a supermarket, DIY or department store, you will find numerous pre-packed products in nice sales and promotion packs. They have all been checked by weight or quantity.

If you buy a bag of screws in a DIY store, have you ever asked yourself, how they were packed and who checked the quantity? Many of them were packed in large production facilities and checked automatically, but those where the quantity does not justify big systems have been done manually by a person. This is where counting scales like our HC-i or FC-i are used.

With their high counting resolution and easy operation it is a simple task to do, however the job may not be just as simple if the operator cannot easily interpret what is displayed on the scale. It sometimes applies to handicapped workers engaged in counting and packing in vocational workshops.

This is where our Comparator Light or “Traffic Light” as we call it comes into play. The combination of a counting scale and a visual signal from our comparator light is the perfect solution to give the operator some simple indication if there are too many, too few or just the right amount of screws in the bag. Even for those who are not handicapped, it will make the work easier and faster by looking at an orange, green or red light instead of reading what is displayed on the scale.
