The JAIMA SHOW 2006 (Japan's Exposition of Analytical Instruments and Solutions) was held at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo, Japan from August 30th to September 1st, 2006.

This is one of the largest analytical equipment shows in Japan and it provides visitors with the opportunity to observe the newest technology available on the market. The number of exhibitors and attendees increase each year and this year about 270 exhibitors and over 21,000 visitors were in attendance over the show's three-day duration.

According to visitors’ feedback from last year’s JAIMA, 66% of attendees had suggestion or decision-making authority at their companies and their purpose at this show was to enquire about new instruments to introduce to their companies.
This was the first time that A&D had participated so we reserved only a minimum amount of space for our booth. We displayed the SV-10 Viscometer, MS-70 Moisture Analyzers, new FX-i precision balance, GH-252 Analytical Balance, GX/GF Precision Balance, EK-i Compact Balance, AD-1683EX Static Eliminator and our PH Meters. Our moisture analyzer and viscometer displays, alongside demonstrations of their standard software, were the main attraction. Many visitors were also impressed with our brand new compact FX-i Precision Balance. Its compact B5 size and Quick USB interface function, which enables the transmission of weight data to a PC without driver installation, caught the interest of many visitors to our booth.

After the 1st day at JAIMA, I felt that the majority of visitors were eager to purchase new equipment suitable for their research and/or quality control. We had the opportunity to generate fresh sales leads and received many demo requests for our viscometers and moisture analyzers. We anticipate a significant increase in sales following these demonstrations.

We are looking forward to JAIMA 2007 and intend to display a wider range of products in a larger booth area. We hope to see you there!
