“Can I take this device with me now?”
We heard many favorable compliments like this from the visitors to our booth. The enthusiasm surrounding our new professional device, the UM-101 Mercury-Free Sphygmomanometer, was particularly overwhelming. It is a very innovative device, which nobody else has come up with. The recent demand to ban the use of mercury had led to A&D developing a modern version of the mercury sphygmomanometer, maintaining the same functions as the conventional mercury type but without the use of mercury. A newly developed LCD bar moves up & down in the same way as mercury, and healthcare providers can continue to use this device in the same way as before.

In our personal line of products, we launched several new models. The UA-787 Plus and UA-767 Plus 30 upper arm blood pressure monitors are upgraded models developed in response to market needs. We have also introduced a new UC-322 precision personal scale. It boasts a fine 50g resolution with a 150g capacity in a small and compact A4 size body. 

Another highlight was our new stylish high-end BP monitor, the UA-851. Thanks to our engineers, it incorporates the most up-to-date technology in an elegant and stylish body. Despite its smart and elegant design, it is definitely a blood pressure monitor and not an object to decorate a room.

In the new area of telemedicine, we have confirmed our position as a leader in these types of applications. To extend our support to telemedicine applications, we introduced our new line of products including 2 models with Bluetooth® communication capability.
The UA-767PBT blood pressure monitor and UC-321PBT precision scale are equipped with Bluetooth Class 1 that can transmit over a distance of 100m (Bluetooth® specifications) and provide superior communication between our devices and receivers.
These Bluetooth® products** are not to be sold at pharmacies for general use, but we held serious discussions with system integrators during the show in Dusseldorf.

MEDICA 2005 was held from Nov. 16th to 19th from 10AM to 6:30PM. Our booth was extremely busy and very crowded throughout the day, compared with other surrounding booths. Many visitors came to our booth to ask about A&D products, take brochures, take BP measurements using our TM-2655 fully automatic monitor, discuss purchasing plans or simply to chat with us. We were very happy with the amount of enthusiastic visitors to our booth. We wish to thank all of you came to see us and we really look forward to seeing you again at MEDICA 2006.

FYI, MEDICA 2006 is scheduled from November 15th to 18th 2006 at the Messe Dusseldorf.
