A&D introduced the Pipette Accuracy Tester, PT series. They provide a simple, precise and cost-effective solution for your pipette accuracy testing applications.
The testing procedure is based on the gravimetric method, which is the most commonly used test for the accuracy of variable-volume pipettes and is recommended by the ISO8655 standard. In the gravimetric method, pipette volume is determined based on the mass value of distilled water dispensed from the pipette. The high precision, accuracy and speed of A&D’s balances ensures the most effective testing possible.
The Pipette Accuracy Tester PT series are equipped with various devices to facilitate your testing. Firstly, the evaporation trap, which prevents the evaporation of the dispensed water by maintaining high humidity inside, can minimize errors due to loss of evaporation. Secondly, the entire pipette accuracy tester set can be packed in a portable carrying case. This makes it easy to perform tests on site, instead of collecting all the pipettes at one location for testing. Finally, the WinCT-Pipette software automatically converts mass value into volumetric values using the liquid temperature and barometric pressure previously entered. It is also possible to print an A4 sized report including test conditions, data, judgment result, etc.
Three models are available depending upon what volumetric range is to be measured. With Pipette Accuracy Tester PT series, you can now easily and correctly screen out pipettes that need adjusting or repairing.
A&D Instruments can test and certify all products in their range that are approved for trade use by the National Weights & Measures Laboraroy (NWML) or Nederlands Meetinstituut (NMi). See our Certifications Page.
